Bowling Fundraiser

It started out “iffy”, but the sun came out and it was a great day for the NWYAS 3rd Annual Lawn Bowling and challenge.

They did it again – the 2017 Team beat Mayor Jonathan Cote and his team consisting of Councilors Bill Harper and Mary Trentadue and CEO of the Chamber of Commerce Lizz Kelly.

Thanks to everyone from Mayor to the parents, Judy Darcy and BC & Alberta Guide Dogs, for coming out for an afternoon of fun.

The Burger and Trivia Night

Thank you to everyone who helped make our Burger and Trivia night such a huge success. There were so many people, we were overflowing onto the patio.

The pups were great – thank you to their “moms & dads” for bringing them out! Siku was a little tired as she had walked in the 5K Rungo Dash for Dogs in the morning.

A special thank you to Mayor and Council for coming and supporting us. We’ll do this again.

Going Bowling

It started with a challenge between the Team and Mayor Cote, along with Councillors Johnstone and Trentadue; a cheque presentation from the Team to Bill Thornton of BC & Alberta Guides Dogs; a silent auction and BBQ, cooked to perfection by Eddy Jalbert!

Thanks Judy Darcy for coming to join in and everyone who made this fundraiser very special. Special thanks to Darren, Amy, Judy and all their volunteers at the New Westminster Lawn Bowling Club for their time and patience. Your support was so very much appreciated!!!

Oh yes, the NWYAS Team beat the Mayor’s team 6-3.

Santa Claus Parade

It was another rainy Santa Claus parade….but everyone had a great time even getting wet!

The cookie decorating at the Anvil Centre and selling donuts and poinsettias at 100 Braid Street afer the parade, gave us time to dry out and warm up.

Had pictures with our Mayor, Councillors and M.L.A. Not only do the Team fundraiser and volunteer – they also provide baby-sitting smile emoticon Special thank you again to Key West Ford for lending us a beautiful truck!
